cat meows underwater. i don’t think you understand how much i’m crying right now.
Yeah but can we talk for a second about how the cat’s name is McLovin
A tiger walks into a liquor store…there’s no punchline here.
Is that… a frisbee?
He just wants to play catch
What I love is that it obviously takes the person at the counter a few seconds to process that that is in fact a tiger.
Like, you kinda see their brain going “dog, nope, cat, big cat, big cat with stripes, SHIT, tiger!!!”
And the two people who go dashing out with the distinctive “I have just encountered an unexpected tiger SHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT” run.
I like that the second guy leaves the chips or whatever those are. Like, he’s running and falling because TIGER but he will not accidentally shoplift
What's your personal opinion on how people gain lots of followers? I've been trying to figure out if there's a specific pattern or method to which people intentionally/unintentionally accumulate followers, usually over a fairly short period.
Hello and what an interesting question. Hmmm, I honestly haven’t established an opinion on this topic but I suppose it depends on:
- the fandom you’re currently in/ what you contribute to that said fandom
- what blogs you follow
- the content of your blog
- how you tag your posts
- how you present yourself on your blog/ how you communicate with others
There’s probably other reasons but to be frank, sometimes chance plays a part on it as well. Some bloggers may aspire to gain as many followers as possible while others casually enjoy the ride and appreciate the slow but steady gain in attention. For those that intentionally strive for more and more followers, I think it would be much more tiring (a job even) compared to those that accumulate unintentionally. There isn’t an issue with either “method”; it really depends on you and what you want from your tumblr experience I guess. And truthfully, I don’t think there’s a formula per se. Personally what’s important to me as a blogger is to stay genuine. This means staying true to myself always regardless of how many followers I happen to gain in the process. Yes, I tag my work. Yes, I try to keep a steady blog going. And yes, I try to present myself as a well-mannered individual (though sometimes my interests takes the better of me and I go crazy haha). But these choices are all made with no outside influences or motivations. I blog how I want and if others happen to like how I run my little corner of the internet, then I can genuinely say that I’ve gained a respectable following because I know for sure they genuinely like me. I guess what I’m trying to say is, don’t worry to much about gaining followers in x amount of time. Don’t try to adjust how you’d handle your blog either. Your blog should always be a reflection of you and never something else just to gain more attention. If you remember to stay true to yourself then followers will inevitably come, I promise.
